People have money for what they want to have money for.
Your job is to get good at marketing because marketing is messaging, and you want to connect with the clients who can afford your message. You want to connect with the clients who do see the value in it.
If you keep trying to sell Starbucks coffee to someone who doesn’t like coffee, it’s not going to work. If you keep trying to sell a one hundred dollar bottle of wine to somebody who would just be just as happy going to Target and buying red punch in a box, those two things are never going to connect.
That's where marketing comes in.
Marketing is to bridge the gap from what you’re selling, to the people who are looking for it. Today where you’re struggling is you’re trying to sell shit to people who don’t want your shit. That’s the problem. That’s marketing; let’s bridge that gap.
