About Sal Cincotta

I am an entrepreneur first and foremost.

My passion for running a business started at the age of thirteen, however, my parent’s mindset was that of most immigrant families. My lofty dreams of being a business owner were nothing more than a childlike fantasy. They knew one way: work hard, get a good job, work your hours, raise a family, and retire someday.

So, I followed their path. I went to college. I graduated from Binghamton University, School of Management and was off to the corporate grind. My pedigree is that of working for two major Fortune Top 50 companies. I worked for both Procter & Gamble and Microsoft. I worked hard. I climbed the corporate ladder and was making a high, six-figure salary. By every measurement, I was successful. One problem, I hated it. I was not happy. I dreaded my job. Does this sound familiar?

One day I realized: I need to follow my passion. I need to do what I love. I want to wake up every day and bust my ass for me. If I was going to work 80hrs a week it was going to be for myself and my family.

I left and I put all the business knowledge I had acquired over the years to work. I was officially an entrepreneur and I was scared out of my mind. There was no blueprint. There was no one to help me figure out all the other crap I didn’t understand. Don’t get me wrong. I was good at my passion, but what about running an actual business? What about marketing that business? How would I price my work? I had all of these questions with no answers. I had to figure this out on my own.
